Everyone is incredibly busy the last two weeks of the year and no one has time to think about a submission. Pick a time when people are free to ponder, something open like, oh, say, Sunday the 9th of January.
Lesson learned. New submission deadline for casitconf’11 is: Midnight (PST), the night of Sunday, 9 JAN, 2011.
