by Wow! What an awesome BCS Championship game last night. Well, OK, maybe it was just the Gators that looked awesome. Sorry, Buckeye fans, it just didn’t look like you fielded a team last night. The Gators just did whatever they wanted last night, and the Buckeyes couldn’t stop them. I bet Troy Smith is *hurting* this morning from spending so much time getting sacked last night.
I feel sorry for OSU back Teddy Ginn, Jr. That was a spectacular run on the kick-off return that put a really quick score on the board and should have lit a fire under the OSU team. I feel really badly for him that was the only play he was able to be a direct part of; to have had such a season and then be sidelined in the national championship game. But, Chris Leak and the Florida offense came right out and just started dominating. I knew from right there that OSU was in for a fight they didn’t expect.
To both teams, congratulations on a fine season getting here. No matter the outcome of this game, both teams are to be commended for a tough battle.
To my Florida Gators — you really showed everyone. The media had no respect for you, and you showed them what I’ve always said about how different SEC football is from anyone else! You dominated that game from the first series and never slowed down. Congratulations and enjoy, you earned it.
To the good OSU fans — the vast majority of fans who never get noticed when people talk about how bad the OSU fans are — it was a fun ride!
To Jeff — I’m looking forward to eating those buckeye cookies you owe me!
To the random bad OSU fan who sat behind me at BW3s during the Florida/Auburn game and repeatedly made comments about how the Gators suck, while the Auburn fans and I were trying to enjoy a hard fought game — who sucks now? (And, this comment is directly solely to that fan, not to the OSU team or the other fans; OSU is a great team)
Gooooooooo Gators! Here’s to the next season and the hopes that the media will finally show some respect!
