Places to eat at LISA 2014

Hi,

Lots of folks have asked me about where to eat while at LISA this week.  Here are a few ideas…

Walking Distance

Breakfast:

Try the Specialty Cafe on 1400 5th Ave just a bit south of the Hotel.

Lunch:

Matts in the Market at 94 Pike St in the Pike Place Market.

Space Needle (This is a longer walk and the food is so-so but the view from the spinning restaurant is incredible so go for lunch and not dinner)

Dinner:

Middle Eastern: Falafel King at 1509 1st Ave down on the waterfront.

Asian: Wild Ginger at 1401 3rd Ave towards the waterfront

Italian: Tulio Ristorante at 1100 5th Ave

Italian: The Pink Door at 1919 Post Alley by the waterfront

Japanese: Benihana at 1200 5th Ave.  This is one where they cook the meal in front of you so it is best for a group of 4 or more

Eclectic: Purple Cafe at 1225 4th Ave

French: Cafe Campagne 1600 Post Alley by Pike Street Market

Seafood: Etta's Seafood at 2020 Western Ave down by the waterfront.

Chowder: Pike Place Chowder at 1530 Post Alley down by the waterfront

Steak House: Metropolitan Grill at 820 2nd Ave

Sushi: Shiro's Sushi at 2401 2nd Ave (this is a longer walk and requires reservations, but very  good)

French: Le Pichet at 1933 1st Ave (longer walk)

If you can drive try out these places:

Salty's on Alki.   This has a great view of the city as it is in West Seattle with a view back to the city.

Canlis: Great food, but also very, very expensive

cheers,
